SS03: Cold-Formed Steel Systems and Components

Organiser: Prof. Kim Rasmussen, University of Sydney, Australia

Summary: The Special Session aims to provide a forum for interchange of ideas and recent research on cold-formed steel members and structural systems. Submissions describing experimental, numerical and/or analytical research on cold-formed steel systems, including innovative new products are particularly welcome, as are submissions reporting research of structural members and sections, including built-up members. Also of interest to the Special Session is research on mechanical properties of cold-formed steel and new developments towards developing design guidelines for cold-formed steel members and systems, including reliability studies at member and system levels. While the Special Session is primarily concerned with cold-formed steel, submissions are also invited for papers concerned with cold-formed stainless steel.
