SS13: Architectural and Structural Methods of Design and Calculation
Organiser: Prof. Janusz Rębielak, Cracow University of Technology, Poland
Summary: This special session is intended to be a forum for the presentation of methods of calculation and design carried out in two stages, which are applied mainly to architectural and structural design. Of interest in architecture will be concepts of such methods, as well as results of their applications to the shape-finding process for lightweight roofing systems of various types, bearing structures for high-rise buildings, foundation systems and other types of building structures. In structural design, similar methods of static or engineering analyses, together with outcomes obtained in their applications, will also be considered. Experimental, theoretical and numerical contributions will all be welcome.
